About

Dentist News Canada is a small, independent editorial site for people who work in Canadian dental offices: dentists, hygienists, assistants, treatment coordinators and office managers. It started in 2021 as a newsletter circulated among a few study clubs and became a website when the mailing list outgrew the inbox.

What we publish

Plain-language articles on practice management, regulation and clinical topics, written for professionals rather than patients. We try to explain what a change means in an operatory or at a front desk, and we avoid quoting figures that go out of date, pointing instead to the regulator or association that publishes them.

The video library

The subscriber library holds recordings of continuing education sessions and technique demonstrations, most of them contributed by study clubs and course providers who prefer to host their recordings with us rather than run their own video platform. Recordings are available to subscribers to stream or download. Accounts are opened by invitation through the contributing organizations.

Independence

We are not affiliated with any regulator, professional association, insurer or manufacturer, and we do not accept sponsored articles. Contributed recordings remain the property of the organizations that produced them.

Corrections

If something we have published is wrong, write to the editorial desk and we will correct it and note the correction on the article.
